Robert H. McNabb
Chief Executive Officer, Futurestep
Executive Vice President, Korn/Ferry International
Robert H McNabb is Executive Vice President of Korn/Ferry International and Chief Executive Officer of Futurestep, the firm’s outsourced recruitment subsidiary. He is responsible for setting strategy and overseeing the global operations of more than 40 offices in 17 countries worldwide. Mr McNabb is also a member of Korn/Ferry’s Global Operating Committee.
As a recognised authority in the talent management industry, Mr McNabb has been at the helm of leading human capital providers for more than two decades. His vision for Futurestep is to be the premier provider of Recruitment Process Outsourcing solutions focused on multi-position project recruiting and a fully outsourced managed services model.
Prior to joining Futurestep in 2001, Mr McNabb was President and Chief Executive Officer of Corestaff Services. Before that, he was a senior executive officer with Kelly Services.
Mr McNabb serves on the Council of Overseers for the Jones School of Management at Rice University and is an advisory board member of West Virginia University’s College of Arts and Sciences. He is a board member of US Legal and previously served on the boards of Corporate Services Group PLC (a London Stock Exchange company) and HotJobs.com. He also was a director of Talent Tree, Inc.
Mr McNabb holds a Bachelors degree from West Virginia University and has completed post-graduate studies at Wharton’s Executive Management Programme.
Andrew R. Watt
Chief Operating Officer
President, North America
Andrew R Watt is Chief Operating Officer for Futurestep, Korn/Ferry International’s outsourced recruitment subsidiary, and President of the company’s North America team.
Based in Houston, Texas, Mr Watt brings more than 24 years of experience in the human capital industry to Futurestep. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager at Kelly Services. During the decade he spent with Kelly, he had responsibility for a domestic commercial division with revenues of more than $800 million (£447 million). He then moved to manage the strategic direction of the professional and technical staffing businesses globally. This included professional-level contract staffing and middle management search across eight practice areas.
Mr Watt also managed Kelly’s non-staffing businesses, which included Recruitment Process Outsourcing, business process outsourcing and vendor management. This grew under his leadership from $600 million (£335 million) in revenue to more than $1.1 billion (£615 million).
Most recently, he undertook the first step in the global reorganisation of Kelly’s business, structuring the professional, technical and non-staffing businesses in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for a significant three-year growth plan. Earlier in his career, Mr Watt was Senior Vice President at Talent Tree, Inc.
Mr Watt holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of New Haven. He has also completed executive education programmes at the University of Michigan Business School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Didier Bonnefoy
President, Futurestep Europe
Didier Bonnefoy is President of Futurestep’s European region. Based in Paris, he is responsible for overseeing the strategy, growth and profitability of Futurestep operations across twelve offices in seven countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain and the United Kingdom.
In addition, Mr Bonnefoy has headed up Futurestep France since 2000. During his tenure in this capacity, Futurestep France has become the most profitable operation throughout the company’s global network. He also has experience serving as joint Managing Director of Korn/Ferry International France.
Before joining Futurestep, Mr Bonnefoy was Managing Director of PA Consulting Group France, which was eventually acquired by Futurestep. An industry veteran, he brings almost two decades of experience in human resources consulting, management consulting and training to his role at Futurestep.
Mr Bonnefoy holds a Masters degree from HEC-CPA Paris, as well as a Bachelors degree and a one-year post-graduate diploma in Human Resources Management from the University of Lyon.
Tim Nelson
President, Futurestep Asia Pacific
Acting Managing Director, ASEAN
Tim Nelson is President of Futurestep’s Asia Pacific region. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the strategy, growth and profitability of Futurestep operations across Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan. Mr Nelson is also a member of parent company Korn/Ferry International’s Asia Pacific Management Committee.
Prior to his current role, Mr Nelson served as the start-up Managing Director of Futurestep Australia. Before that, he was a partner at Korn/Ferry International, where he served clients in the banking and funds management sectors across Asia.
Earlier in his career, Mr Nelson spent almost a decade in consulting and management with a major Australian human resource consultancy, where he was recognised for his achievements in recruiting finance, investment, general management and technology professionals before moving into significant management and leadership positions within the company. He started his career working in Melbourne, Chicago and Hong Kong in the Change Management practice at Anderson Consulting (now Accenture).
Mr Nelson holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Diploma of Education, and a Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management, University of New South Wales. He has also completed an Executive Leadership Programme at Harvard Business School.
Ed Newman
President, The Newman Group, A Futurestep Company
Ed Newman is President of The Newman Group, a Futurestep Company and leading provider of talent consulting services to today’s enterprise organisations.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Mr Newman was the founder and CEO of The Newman Group, a company he established in 1999. Through a decade of steady growth and client success, the company grew into a premier resource for addressing the most difficult talent challenges facing today’s world-class organisations. His vision and hands-on experience in talent strategy, structure, brand and technology have played a pivotal role in helping companies compete and win in the struggle to attract and retain the people who drive business success.
Prior to founding The Newman Group, Mr Newman held several leadership positions at Spherion and R.D. Raab & Co, where he managed the recruiting function for SAP America. He was also the Director of Employment and Corporate Human Resources at PRC, Inc. (acquired by Northrop Grumman). From his experience and deep subject matter expertise, he has developed a consulting methodology that has proven extremely effective in helping companies determine actionable strategies for aligning people, processes and technology.
Mr Newman is an active participant in major events for industry organisations, such as the Human Capital Institute (HCI), the Electronic Recruiting Exchange (ERE), and the annual HR Technology conference. `His articles on talent strategy and tactics are widely published, and he is often quoted and interviewed in leading trade publications such as HR Magazine and Workforce Management, as well as online publications from organisations such as IHRIM and ERE.
Mr Newman holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Richmond.
Masao Sasaki
Vice President, Finance
Masao Sasaki is Futurestep’s Vice President of Finance, based in Korn/Ferry’s corporate offices in Los Angeles. He is responsible for all accounting and finance activities for Futurestep, including global and regional financial reporting, financial planning, global SOX compliance, and overseeing Futurestep’s internal accounting processes and controls.
Prior to joining Futurestep in 2006, he spent eight years in the private accounting sector, working in controller-level positions for Simpson Housing Solutions, LLC, an affordable housing developer, and Guidance Solutions, a privately held consulting firm. Earlier, Masao spent six years in public accounting; he began his career at Deloitte & Touche.
Masao earned his Bachelors degree in Business Economics, with a concentration in Accounting, from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Thomas A. Birmingham
Leader, Global Accounts
Thomas A Birmingham is the Leader of Global Accounts for Futurestep. He is responsible for major account development and relationship management across Futurestep’s global operations spanning North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Mr Birmingham brings to Futurestep more than 30 years of experience in retained executive search, corporate project staffing and human capital consulting.
Prior to joining Futurestep in 2002, Mr Birmingham was President of Venture Search Partners, an international human capital consulting subsidiary of R.D. Raab & Company, where he conducted searches at levels ranging from the middle level to the highest ranks.
Mr Birmingham’s experience has involved multiple vertical industries with leading companies such as Software AG, J.D. Edwards and Baan. In addition, he has held HR management positions with Cullinet Software, Digital Equipment Corporation and SAP America. He has also served as a consultant regarding organisational and workforce planning issues for emerging-growth companies.
Mr Birmingham holds a Bachelors degree in English from St. Joseph’s University.
Debbie Milks
Leader, Global Services
Debbie Milks is the Leader of Global Services for Futurestep North America, based in the firm’s Houston office.
She is responsible for global operations including internal training programmes, technology solutions, quality control, service delivery processes and infrastructure support.
Ms Milks brings more than a dozen years of experience in the talent acquisition field to her position at Futurestep. She has particular expertise in account management, quality service delivery execution, operations, technology, solution sales, human resources and finance.
Prior to joining Futurestep in 2003, Ms Milks was Senior Vice President of Operations for White Amber, a technology company specialising in talent management. In this role, she was responsible for the implementation, quality and delivery processes for the company’s software application.
Previously, she spent more than five years with Robert Half International as the Field Service Centre Manager, where she was directly responsible for all of the “back-office” processes and a staff of more than 100 employees.
Ms Milks began her career as a Staff Accountant/HR Manager for a small, privately held company in Illinois.
Tanya Bennett
Global Operations Leader, Recruitment Process Outsourcing
Tanya Bennett is the Global Operations Leader for Recruitment Process Outsourcing for Futurestep. She joined the company’s North America team in 2002 as the Director of Managed Services.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Ms Bennett worked for Corestaff Services as Vice President of Performance Partnerships. Overseeing programmes that accounted for approximately $400 million in revenue, her diversified client base included financial services, healthcare, industrial practices, technical and business services.
Ms Bennett has 20 years of experience in the staffing industry, including onsite and project staffing, as well as extensive operations management. She began her career in 1987 with Talent Tree Personnel as a Staffing Consultant and was later named Regional Services Director.
Ms Bennett graduated from Ripon College in Wisconsin with a Bachelors degree in English and Business Management.
Kelly Cartwright
Marketing Leader
Kelly Cartwright is Marketing Leader for Futurestep. In her role, she is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategy, including the creation and delivery of all internal and external marketing communications programmes.
Ms Cartwright joined Futurestep from The Newman Group, a leading provider of talent management consulting services, which was acquired by Futurestep in 2007. As Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for The Newman Group, she was responsible for marketing strategy and management of customer relationships, as well as communications and sales. With experience in key aspects of talent strategy and business leadership, she was an integral part of the company's growth and success as a provider of talent management consulting services.
Prior to joining The Newman Group, Ms Cartwright was Vice President of TeamRewards, providers of an employee referral and applicant tracking solution. Prior to TeamRewards, she helped lead the development and implementation of an outsourced recruiting business model for recruiting and human capital management consulting firm Knowledge Workers, Inc. During her tenure, the company grew from a 15-employee start-up to a multimillion-dollar enterprise. Before joining Knowledge Workers, Ms Cartwright held management positions with two of the nation's largest national staffing services firms.
Ms Cartwright is a member of the advisory board for the Talent Strategy Community of the Human Capital Institute (HCI), and she is also an advisory board member for HCI’s annual National Human Capital Summit. She is also a member of the National Association of Female Executives and the American Marketing Association, and she serves as a board member on the outreach and events committee of the Recruitment Process Outsourcing Association (RPOA).
Ms Cartwright holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Maine.

Bill Gilbert
Country Leader, US
Bill Gilbert is the Country Leader for the US. He is responsible for building major client relationships and ensuring the delivery of innovative and effective human capital solutions.
Prior to his current role, Mr Gilbert was Office Director for Futurestep Atlanta where he was responsible for all aspects of performance, including client relations, search execution and staff development.
Prior to Futurestep, he was with an international executive search firm where he worked with several high-profile clients, principally in the consumer products, financial services, industrial and professional services industries.
Before entering the executive search profession, Mr Gilbert was Chief Financial Officer of Party America, Inc., a specialty retailer. Previously, he was Chief Administrative and Financial Officer with Treasure House Stores, Inc., a venture capital-backed turnaround. He also served as Chief Financial Officer for Silk Greenhouse, Inc. in Tampa. He began his career with KPMG Peat Marwick.
Mr Gilbert earned a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Florida State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Greg Barnes
Practice Leader, Healthcare and Life Sciences
Greg Barnes is based in Futurestep’s Houston headquarters and serves as the national Practice Leader for Futurestep Healthcare and Life Sciences solutions. He is responsible for leadership development and human capital solutions strategies for US hospitals, health systems, healthcare service providers and health benefits clients.
Mr Barnes leads a team of experienced solutions consultants who work closely with human resource leaders to successfully match interim solutions and managed service strategies to meet high-demand clinical and administrative staffing needs.
Prior to joining Futurestep in 2004, Mr Barnes was a senior client partner in Korn/Ferry’s healthcare executive search practice. Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, he was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Search Management, a nationally retained search firm focused exclusively on healthcare. Mr Barnes began his healthcare career as Vice President of Corporate Recruiting for TPT, Incorporated, a national hospital contract management company.
Mr Barnes is board-certified in health care management and is a diplomat with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). He is also a certified member of the American College of Healthcare Consultants (AAHC). He received his Bachelors degree from Baylor University and holds a Masters degree in Educational Psychology and Counselling from the University of North Texas.
Dan Catlin
US Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) Leader
Dan Catlin heads Futurestep’s RPO team in the US, providing leadership that focuses on facilitating the company’s business growth in this rapidly expanding market.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Mr Catlin was Vice President of the Chicago region for Kelly Services. He was a principal architect in recruiting solutions for several of the company’s most significant corporate clients, developed a multi-disciplinary team selling program that became a model in the company, and grew his region to more than $85 million in revenue while becoming the company’s top profit producer.
Earlier in his career, Mr Catlin was with Talent Tree, serving as US Central Regional Vice President, responsible for sales and operations in 10 markets, achieving more than 30% revenue growth and doubling profitability under his leadership.
Mr Catlin graduated with distinction from the US Naval Academy in 1989, and served as a naval officer and in corporate sales in New England.
Wendy Wick
US Service Delivery Leader
Wendy Wick is the Leader of Service Delivery in the US. She is responsible for the strategy and delivery of Futurestep’s recruiting services.
Ms Wick brings 15 years of recruitment and consulting expertise to her role. Her extensive experience includes designing, implementing and managing customised, full-life cycle Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) solutions for the financial services and consumer products industries. These solutions ranged in scope from 200 to 8,000 hires annually.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Ms Wick was responsible for global RPO initiatives at State Street Corporation where she successfully integrated RPO solutions for a $4.5 billion acquisition. She was also responsible for leading recruitment reporting initiatives.
Prior to State Street, Ms Wick spent several years with Kelly Services. She was responsible for integrating Applicant Tracking Systems with assessment and pre-employment verification service providers. She also played a key role in launching RPO globally.
Ms Wick holds a Bachelors degree in International Relations from Lake Forest College.
Jeanne MacDonald
Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) Leader
Jeanne MacDonald leads the sales effort for Futurestep’s Strategic Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) solutions. Ms MacDonald has been with the company since 1998 and works with clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, life sciences, advanced technology and media convergence.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Ms MacDonald was with American Telephone & Telegraph (AT&T). She was the company’s first Internet Marketing Manager and later a Sales Director and leader of the Southern California sales division for voice, data and Web-related services. Ms MacDonald was recognised with AT&T “Gold Club” status, awarded to the top two percent of the organisation’s employees for exceeding client expectations.
Ms MacDonald serves on the Board of Directors for the Human Resources Executive Network. She holds a Bachelors degree in International Relations and French from the University of Virginia.
Stephen Mill
Country Leader, Canada
Stephen Mill is Futurestep’s Canadian Country Leader, based in the firm’s Toronto office. He leads Futurestep’s full range of outsourced recruiting services across Canada. He also oversees strategic regional growth and business development efforts.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Mr Mill spent nearly a decade at Robert Half International, where he led blue-chip account business development, team development, and overall expansion into new markets.
Mr Mill consistently has been awarded top honours for exceeding sales expectations throughout his 20-year sales career. In addition, Mr Mill is an articulate spokesperson whose perspectives on workplace industry issues and trends are often featured in print publications and via broadcast media.
Terry Stein
Practice Leader, Western Canada
Terry Stein is the Practice Leader overseeing Western Canada for Futurestep North America. He specialises in the areas of strategic planning, financial services, and human resources management and development.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Mr Stein was responsible for the Consulting Services practice in Alberta for Robert Half Canada, Inc. Prior to Robert Half, Mr Stein held senior-level management positions in the private sector. He began his career as a Senior Accountant with a chartered accounting firm.
Mr Stein is on the Provincial Board of the Society of Management Accountants of Alberta and is an active member of the Human Resource Institute of Alberta. He holds a Certified Management Accountant designation, a Canadian Human Resource Professional designation, and has completed the Canadian Securities Course. He was awarded an FCMA designation in 2006.
Bruce Diemert
Practice Leader, Vancouver
Bruce Diemert joined Futurestep as the Practice Leader for Vancouver when this location opened in 2007. Prior to Futurestep, Mr Diemert worked in the recruitment industry, leading the permanent and temporary placement division of Robert Half Technology in Vancouver. He has worked in both the consulting and outsourcing industries for Accenture and Sierra Systems.
Prior to talent acquisition, Mr Diemert had a successful career in the Canadian banking industry, managing full-service retail and commercial branches of the CIBC.
Mr Diemert holds a degree in Economics from the University of Calgary, multiple diplomas and certificates from Simon Fraser University and UBC, and is a Fellow in the Canadian Bankers Association.
Lyn Currie
Practice Leader, Toronto
Lyn Currie is Practice Leader for Futurestep, based in the firm’s Toronto office. Ms. Currie brings more than 13 years of experience in leadership roles within the fields of information technology consulting, recruitment, and human capital management solutions.
In Ms. Currie's role, she is responsible for leading Futurestep's business development and recruiting strategy in Toronto, and for national accounts throughout Canada with a focus at the mid-management level. She has led single searches up to the Vice President level and has also managed large-scale project recruitment initiatives in the Financial Services, Consumer and Retail, Advanced Technology and Industrial sectors.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Ms.Currie was Managing Director of a global technology recruitment firm. She was responsible for leading several divisions including the Greater Toronto Area, Southwest Ontario and Ottawa, as well as strategic accounts.
In addition to her role as Managing Director, Ms. Currie was responsible for leading the firm’s national Sales Training programs, and for developing and launching the new service offering, a managed staffing solution throughout Canada. While there, she also grew her team into the highest-performing division in Canada.
Ms. Currie holds an honours bachelor's degree from the University of Western Ontario.
Corey Wexler
Practice Leader, Eastern Canada
Corey Wexler is Practice Leader for Futurestep in Eastern Canada, with additional responsibility for the Ottawa region. Mr Wexler joined Futurestep from the Executive Search division of Korn/Ferry.
Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, Mr Wexler was General Manager of Compusmart Online (ZingPC), a division of Hartco Corporation, a direct reseller of IT products and services to consumer and corporate clients across Canada. Earlier in his career, he worked as a buyer and vendor manager for Hartco Enterprises.
Mr Wexler began his career in executive search as a Senior Associate with Pratzer and Partners in Toronto. Upon the acquisition of Pratzer & Partners by Korn/Ferry in 2000, Mr Wexler was promoted to Client Partner and played an active role in the firm’s Advanced Technology and Private Equity practises.
Mr Wexler holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce and an MBA from McGill University in Montreal.
Isabelle Alain
Service Delivery Leader, Canada
Isabelle Alain is the Service Delivery Leader for Futurestep Canada, based in Toronto.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Ms Alain played an integral role in the start-up of a Montreal business unit for one of Canada’s mid-level search firms. She was responsible for full-service recruitment and client relations in the areas of sales, marketing, operations, logistics, finance and healthcare.
Ms Alain holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a diploma in Business Administration from the University of Quebec in Montreal.

Hasit Raval
Finance Director, Europe
Hasit Raval is the Finance Director for Futurestep Europe. Based in London, he is responsible for financial reporting and providing commercial support to the European regional leadership team.
Mr Raval is a qualified accountant with over 10 years experience. Prior to joining Futurestep, Mr Raval was a Senior Finance Manager at Siemens Financial Services. Earlier in his career, he worked in the hospitality industry as a Senior Finance Manager in Marriott International’s EMEA region and as an Audit Manager with a London-based accounting firm.
Mr Raval holds an Accounting and Finance degree from the University of Westminster (UK).
Leslie Jane Parsons
Managing Director, UK
Leslie Jane Parsons is responsible for advancing Futurestep’s Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) strategy in the United Kingdom.
Ms Parsons has more than 15 years experience in the recruitment sector, managing multimillion-dollar businesses and executive client relationships in North America, the UK, and across continental Europe.
Prior to Futurestep, Ms Parsons was responsible for the launch and management of a global staffing company’s outsourcing and consulting division, overseeing brands in the RPO, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Contingent Workforce Outsourcing and Consulting divisions, with operations in eight countries in Europe.
Ms Parsons is a graduate of the University of Toronto and maintains dual citizenship in her native Canada and the United Kingdom.

Managing Director, Belgium
An Poelman is the Managing Director of Futurestep Belgium, responsible for operational affairs and business development for the Belgian market.
Prior to joining Futurestep in 2001, Ms Poelman was an international project manager with Mercuri Urval International, specialising in large cross-border consultancy projects. Earlier, she was with Monsanto Inc. as assistant to the vice president and head of the global team in charge of business development and capability building.
Before entering executive search, Ms Poelman served as a lecturer in Applied Economics in Leuven, a project manager for CERA Bank, and Finance and Administration Manager for the Financial Network Association.
Ms Poelman holds a Masters degree in Roman Philology from KUL, Belgium, as well as a post-graduate degree in European Studies from Nancy, France. She is fluent in Dutch, French, English and Spanish.
Patrick Weiland
Managing Director, Germany
Patrick Weiland is the Managing Director of Futurestep Germany, responsible for advancing the firm's Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) strategy and driving overall German operations.
With a strong background in the human capital industry, he joined Futurestep in 2007 from the Müller Dairy Group (Müller-Milch) where he was Head of Special Projects/Human Resources. Previously he worked with Manpower Germany and Citibank's Global Consumer Business.
Mr Weiland holds a Masters degree in Political Science from the University of Bonn and completed management studies in banking and finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, as well as management training at Krauthammer International. He is fluent in German and English.
Ettore Landini
Managing Director, Italy
Ettore Landini is the Managing Director of Futurestep Italy. In this role, he oversees the firm’s search work and operations in the Rome and Milan offices. He also serves as European Practices Leader.
Prior to Futurestep, Mr Landini worked in the Milan office of PA Consulting Group, which was acquired by Korn/Ferry International. Previously, he worked as an Account Executive with McCann Recruiting, a division of McCann Erickson, where he developed expertise in the HR field within both Italian and multinational companies.
Mr Landini holds a degree in Political Sciences from the University of Florence. He speaks fluent English and Italian.
Robert Nash
Managing Director, Norway
Robert Nash is the Managing Director for Futurestep Norway. He is responsible for both operational affairs and business development in the region.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Mr Nash was a Regional Director with Manpower, where he was responsible for the company’s largest business unit. In addition to employee coaching, training and budgeting initiatives, he also managed Manpower Finance Norway.
Earlier in his career, Mr Nash was with SelectionGroup AS, an information technology recruitment firm, E-Penna (formerly Target Executive Search), and Kelly Services Norway as a Regional Manager in Oslo.
Mr Nash holds Masters degrees in Organisational Psychology and Business from the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. He is fluent in all Scandinavian languages, as well as English.
Laurent Da Silva
Managing Director, France
Laurent Da Silva is the Managing Director of Futurestep France. He is responsible for operational affairs and business development in the French market.
Mr Da Silva joined Futurestep in 2000 as a Team Leader of Manufacturing and Consumer Goods in the Futurestep Paris office. He managed mid-level search assignments in various sectors, including automotive, consumer goods and healthcare.
Mr Da Silva began his business career in 1997 in a law firm, then soon joined a search company, where he conducted searches for tax specialists, finance and HR.
Mr Da Silva earned a Masters degree in Law from Masters ESSEC, specialising in HR. He speaks English and French.
Andrés Fontenla
Managing Director, Spain
Andrés Fontenla is the Managing Director for Futurestep Spain, based in Madrid. He is responsible for both operational affairs and business development in the Iberian market, with a strategic focus on Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) solutions.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Mr Fontenla worked for a Spanish HR consultancy company as Operations General Manager. In this role, he was responsible for managing business development of the company’s client portfolio. He also managed client services, coordinating multi-position solutions and turnkey selection projects. Mr Fontenla began his career in the human capital industry for the Randstad Group. Before beginning his business career, Mr Fontenla served as a Navy Officer for the Spanish Armed Forces.
Mr Fontenla earned a Masters degree in Commercial and Marketing Management from the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid. He also has a law degree from the University of Cádiz and a LLM from IEEM. Mr Fontenla is fluent in Spanish and English.

Tan Yang Poh
Finance Director, Asia Pacific
Tan Yang Poh is Futurestep’s Finance Director for Asia Pacific. In this role, he is responsible for leading the finance function and a multicultural team of professionals who support the business strategy, growth and profitability of Futurestep across Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore.
Mr Yang Poh joined Futurestep in 2008. He is a seasoned finance professional and leader, with 16 years of experience working with some of the world’s top MNCs from a myriad of industries, including IT, FMCG, logistics, oil and banking.
Prior to Futurestep, Mr Yang Poh led HQ accounting, logistics, BU support, and Standard Operating Environment functions for 13 countries at Datacraft Asia Ltd.
Mr Yang Poh holds MBA and BSC degrees in Finance from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (US). He is fluent in English, Chinese and Malay.
Michael Royston
Managing Director, North Asia
Michael Royston is Futurestep’s Managing Director for North Asia, based in Shanghai. With over a decade of experience in driving executive search and human capital solutions for multinational firms across four continents, he possesses a keen understanding of how to architect and deliver solutions to meet client needs.
Mr Royston joined Futurestep from MRI, an executive search and talent acquisition firm based in Greater China where he was country manager. During his tenure, he led the firm in achieving unprecedented double-digit year-on-year growth and record-setting revenues and client expansion. Prior to relocating to Asia, Mr Royston was Executive Vice President and Managing Director of a mid-sized executive search and organisational consulting firm with offices in South and Central America. He began his career in executive search with one of the top four executive search and human resources consulting firms in the US.
A native of the UK, Mr Royston was raised in the US and holds an MBA from Washington University.
Rachael Pogson
Managing Director, Service Delivery, Asia
Rachael Pogson is the Managing Director of Service Delivery for Futurestep in Asia. Based in Shanghai, she oversees the strategy, management and operations for Futurestep’s business across the country.
Prior to joining Futurestep in 2005, Ms Pogson was Business Development Director, North Asia and China Country Manager for the leading provider of loyalty membership programmes for the hospitality industry. Earlier, she provided a range of strategic consulting services to organisations in Shanghai seeking guidance on how to scale and optimise the performance of their call centres and distribution systems for the Greater China Market. Ms Pogson began her career as Project Manager for the Cultural & Education Section of the British Consulate (British Council) Shanghai.
Ms Pogson received an M.Sc. in Operational Research from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK. A British national, she is fluent in Mandarin, holding a B.A. (Hons.) in Chinese from Westminster University, UK.
Nick Simcock
Managing Director, New Zealand
Nick Simcock is Managing Director of Futurestep’s New Zealand business. He is also a member of Futurestep’s Global RPO Leadership Team.
Mr Simcock works closely with Futurestep’s Asia Pacific management team and regional clients, implementing and delivering RPO projects and managed services across the region. In New Zealand, he leads consulting teams for Futurestep’s search, project recruitment, outsourcing and consulting services solutions.
Mr Simcock joined Korn/Ferry International in New Zealand in 1998, focusing on senior executive appointments in the financial services, advanced technology and industrial sectors. Prior to Korn/Ferry, he spent five years in HR consulting in Tokyo, leading engagements for global emerging growth and Fortune 500 companies.
Mr Simcock holds an MBA with Distinction and a Bachelors degree from Victoria University. He is on the board of advisors to the Otago University School of Business.
Sue Tuffley
Managing Director, Australia
Sue Tuffley is the Managing Director for Futurestep Australia. She has been instrumental in helping Futurestep become the market leader in the country. As Managing Director, she is responsible for leading Futurestep’s entire portfolio of services.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Ms Tuffley worked in a variety of consulting and operational roles with a major Australian human resource consultancy, where she worked on consulting projects across APAC and EMEA.
Her earlier career was in the health arena, practising within both the public and private sectors in Australia and the UK. She also held tutoring and examining positions at the University of Queensland and Cumberland College.
Ms Tuffley holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Queensland, a post-graduate diploma from Cumberland College of Health Sciences, and an Executive MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management, University of NSW.
Asim Handa
Managing Director, India
Asim Handa is the Managing Director of Futurestep India. Based in New Delhi, he oversees the strategy, management and operations for Futurestep’s business across the country.
Prior to joining Futurestep, Mr Handa was Head of Talent Search at EXL Service, a leading Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company in India.
Earlier in his career, Mr Handa was a successful entrepreneur in Sports Event Management, working with top MNCs and Indian companies to create and organise sports-related promotional events.
Mr Handa began his career with Modi Xerox in 1983 and successfully marketed the Xerox brand in India. He was later promoted to Regional Sales Manager.
Mr Handa holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from Sri Ram College of Commerce and a Masters degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics.
